It really does feel like a BREAKING NEWS moment, as the first application framework with a map view is now working… but in this post I wanted to cover off a new relationship that will enable Mapsimise to be so much more than just a mapping tool.
For the past six weeks we have been looking at how we can include business functions beyond platform integrations with CRM and Customer Engagement Systems. So, here goes… as a marketer at heart, I’m always looking and reading about new innovation and learning more about marketing. The idea then came to me that marketing functions could easily be a part of the Mapsimise platform - you can imagine the reaction in that development meeting. I explained in some detail how geospatial and maps could be used to enable businesses to target and build marketing lists by location of key customers. Email marketing has been a great asset but sending tens of thousands of generic emails to all customers seems to me like an approach that has finally had its time and peaked.
Having the capability to target local content for your customers and prospects by region shows real engagement, and the ability to include local information seemed to me like a positive step forward.
As mention, I’d been looking at what was possible with what platforms and I’m pleased to announce that we have selected DotMailer to be our core email communication service which is a part of Mapsimise. For those customers not using DotMailer we will also be including services from Mail Chimp and Salesforce pardot, which links to Saleforce.com.
At this time, it is unknown if all email marketing solutions will be available on the first release in 2019, but we are working flat out to make it possible.
Solving business problems with Mapsimise and helping different end users achieve more with data was our and still is our core objective. Targeted marketing is aimed to help marketeers profile customers, and prospects by a given set of location coordinates.
Bio – Alistair Dickinson CEO Mapsimise

After 21 years helping organisations with technology, I’ve seen and worked on many projects. As CEO of Mapsimise I’m still very hands on working with all team members and not sat in an office making spreadsheets and crunching numbers. I’m happy to work on the support desk, take calls and discuss how our tools and technology can help businesses like yours. You can find me on Linkedin, Twitter or email me directly. I’m very jeans and t-shirts and still wear Nike Air trainers to the office which I’m told is cool…
